This is a unique opportunity to hear 31 international speakers report on the geology, structure and metallogeny of this important part of the global Tethyan belt and visit the famous Timok district deposits around BOR.  The Timor district hosts three large deposits which between them contain 11 Mt Cu and 10 MOz Au -  and is only lightly explored.  You need not better reason to attend this meeting.  SEEGF is proud to sponsor and assist with the organisation of this SCOPES Program event.  The team from ETH Zurich put in a remarkable to make this event very productive and most memorable.   A CDROM was produced from the event.

Conference

28 international speakers discussing the geology, structure, tectonics, magmtism and metallogeny of the Carpatho-Balkanides and the Caucasus & Pontides.  Deposits in Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania and Georgia will be discussed with a  special emphasis on the deposits of the important Timok district which includes Bor.  Company Presentations will also be incorporated into the schedule.

Field Trip

Two action packed days in the field looking at the regional geology and major deposits in the Timok District.

VENUE: BOR Serbia.  You need to arrange your own transport to Belgrade and we will transport you in buses to the conference & field trip. 

ACCOMMODATION: Included in the Conference Fee, together with meals and refreshments.

COST: Members: E400  Non-Members: E500 If you do NOT require accommodation in Bor deduct E100 from the appropriate cost.  Includes conference bag and materials and a copy of the Doug Kirwin seminar presentation  on CDROM.
