The SE Europe Geoscience Foundation is pleased to announce a one day conference in Bulgaria, September 23, as part of our Conference Series. This conference event is focused on exploration and will have senior visiting exploration geoscientists from major companies in attendance and a presentation on a new regional geological and structural synthesis of SE Europe.

NOTE: The Dimitrov and Menzies presentation on the geology of SE Europe will be based largely on this recent paper: The Alpine-Carpathian-Dinarides Orogenic System: Correlation and Evolution of Tectonic Units Stefan M. Schmid, Daniel Bernoulli, Bernhard Fügenschuh, Liviu Matenco, Senecio Schefer, Ralf Schuster, Matthias Tischler & Kamil Ustaszewski with materials kindly provided by one of the senior author. Some of the conclusions reached in this paper are contentious and should make for interesting discussion.
